In his nationwide broadcast to mark Democracy Day, President Bola Tinubu claimed that an agreement had been reached on new national minimum salaries. Organised Labour has denied this allegation. At the conclusion of negotiations on Friday, June 7, Organised Labour stated that the Tripartite Committee on the National Minimum Wage had not established a consensus. The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Acting President, Prince Adewale Adeyanju, stated in a statement that anything to the contrary was not only fabricated but would not be approved by the Labour.
